Hi there! It’s been a looong time since I last checked in—three months to be exact. A lot has happened since then. The last time I wrote, I was about to start my Master’s degree and step into the world of sports journalism.
I knew I’d be busy, but what I didn’t expect was to also close two new clients, expand work with an existing one, and get an opportunity to work for an accredited Formula 1 media outlet. Because that wasn’t enough for me, I also participated as a speaker and host in two industry events, which required preparation and traveling to another city.
So, yes—busy would be an understatement.
I’m beyond grateful for all of this. On one hand, the growth of my business feels like validation of my vision and efforts. On the other hand, diving into F1 journalism so soon has been surreal. It’s opened the door for me to not only write about my favorite sport but also attend my first virtual media round tables and press conferences.
However, this non-stop activity also meant that my time had to be focused on what truly matters to me now.
I’ve wanted to come back here many times. I’ve had ideas to write about and even tried scheduling time to do it. But in those little moments of free time, I preferred to rest or do something that soothed my soul. And that is always music.
During this time I took my first-ever singing lessons. Initially, they were meant to help me prepare for a concert where I’d be playing piano and singing, but since I’d never trained my voice, I needed some help.
With a little training, I discovered strength and power in my voice I didn’t know existed. Singing became more than preparation—it became therapeutic. Paired with physiotherapy sessions to address lower back pain (caused, as it turns out, by a stiff diaphragm—who knew?), I learned to relax that important part of my body, and as my back pain improved, so did my singing. Every session left me feeling stronger, both physically and emotionally. So this is all I wanted to do in my spare time.
But I digress.
The point is: while I’ve wanted to write here, I also haven’t. And that’s made me reflect:
Do I want to keep this publication going?
Should I pivot and write about sports instead?
Does it align with my current goals, energy, and opportunities?
The answer is a clear no.
That doesn’t mean this journey hasn’t been valuable. On the contrary, starting this newsletter allowed me to experiment, refine my voice, and grow as a writer. It gave me a platform to connect with others on the same solopreneur path and to help me reflect on it. While feedback has been sparse, I know it’s entertained and inspired some of you. For that, I’m deeply grateful.
But now, I think it’s time to thank this chapter and move forward.
It hasn’t been an easy decision, but, as we near the end of the year—and after successfully keeping this publication alive for a full year—I’m confident that this is the right time to let it go.
I won’t close it, though. Instead, I’ll keep it open for anyone who stumbles across it. And who knows? I might get back to it or start something new in the future. But for now, it’s time to pause.
Before I go, I want to thank you all for following along, for reading my thoughts, and for witnessing this transformative year in my life. If I’ve inspired you—even a little—I count that as a win.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Until next time, keep evolving and growing as a solopreneur—or as whatever you want to be—and have a fantastic 2025 ❤️
